The Bible says in Ephesians 6:6, "...doing the will of God from the heart." From these words of Paul to the church at Ephesus, we have drawn our theme for 2008, "From the Heart". Even though this is our church focus for the year, it has been an evident theme throughout the church's history. Berean Baptist Church began in downtown Puyallup in 1969 under the leadership of Pastor Robert Gurganious and was organized in 1970 with 21 charter members. Since then the church has grown and moved to the South Hill of Puyallup, a growing community of nearly 36,000 people, near the foothills of the Cascades and under the shadow of Mt. Rainier. Berean Baptist Church is now under the leadership of its fifth pastor, Pastor Robert Reno, who plans to follow the Lord's direction and guide us into our vision for the future. We believe that God will bless us as we do His
will from the heart, and increase our faith and knowledge in the Lord Jesus Christ. By staying true to God, His Word, and the traditional fundamentals of our faith, Berean Baptist Church is reaching towards the goal with powerful preaching, Godly music, and with lives fit for the Master's use.
